I am not a nutritionist, I am a Clinical Hypnotherapist, with a special interest in weight counselling and a writer of paranormal fiction.
What I also am, is a person who has spent most of my adult life battling to keep my weight down to a level I am happy at.
One of the things that depresses us the most is being overweight and feeling like an unattractive lump.
It didn't make me feel any better to be told I was beautiful in other ways – I DIDN'T FEEL – attractive and that was all that mattered to me.
When I first began to train as a Clinical Hypnotherapist I had no idea about the battle going on inside my own head between my subconscious and conscious minds.
That the subconscious uses imagination and the conscious mind controls willpower was a revelation to me.
I had no idea that it was my own subconscious mind that made me regain the weight I had lost.
My powerful imagination was overpowering my willpower, using self-hypnosis to tell my subconscious I want to stay slim has totally changed the way I look at dieting and weight loss. No more battles – just success.
